Kaival Gyan Mandir was founded by Kaival Gyan Chicago Foundation in May of 2006.   Kaival Gyan Chicago Foundation is a non-profit organization inspired by Kaival Gyan Sampradaya (located in Sarsa, Gujarat) and Pujya Shree Avichaldasji Maharaj (seventh Kuveracharya and current leader) to help guide Kaival Satsangis (devotees) in Chicago, IL.  Kaival Gyan Mandir is also the first abroad mandir.   Kaival Gyan Sampradaya has established various Kaival mandir all over India, mainly Gujarat.   However, before Kaival Gyan Mandir (Chicago), there were no Kaival mandirs outside of India.   Various cities in the U.S. and England have created organizations like Kaival Gyan Chicago Foundation to help guide Kaival Satsangis.  All these various organization teamed together in 2006 to establish the first Kaival Gyan Mandir outside of India.

With Paramguru Shreemat Karunasagar’s blessings and H.H. Acharya Shree Avichaldasji Maharaj’s guidance, Kaival Gyan Mandir held its first consecration ceremony in the summer of 2007.  This program, formally known as Paramguru Pran Pratistha Mahotsav, was celebrated over a period of three days (June 29th, 30th, and July 1st, 2007). Pious saints and gurus from all over India were in attendance along with Pujya Shree Avichaldasji Maharaj.  In the Hindu religion, a consecration ceremony (Murti Pran Pratistha) is a ceremony in which statues of idols are brought into the mandir. For Kaival Gyan Mandir, a murti (statue) of Paramguru, which was hand carved in India, was brought over and placed in the mandir.  Several rituals were performed as a part of the ceremony. On July 13th, 14th, & 15th, 2012, Kaival Gyan Mandir celebrated the second consecration ceremony by bringing in the murtis of six devi/devtas (Hanumanji, Ram-Sita, Radha-Krishna, Shiv-Parvati, Amba Mata, and Ganpatiji).  This three day celebration also marked the 5th anniversary of the original Pratishtha. Overall, the event was celebrated with much grandeur.
